Not too long ago,Segaannounced its decision to offer gamers the chance to revisit or experience several of its classic titles for the first time by unveiling plans to remaster the likes ofYakuza 3,4, and5for Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation 4 console. Now the publisher and developer have officially revealed some new gameplay of what the third entry from the action-adventure series looks like after getting the remaster treatment.

As seen inthis video,Yakuza 3fans can get a look at the classic PlayStation 3 title with updated graphics, as the initial clip focuses on the location in Okinawa, and includes a solid dose of the brutal fighting mechanics that fans of the series have grown with over the course of the series. The second video, however, shifts its attention toward the much more lighthearted environment of the title’s golf mini-game.

For those who may have missed the release schedule for the forthcomingYakuzaremasters, Sega has previously stated thatYakuza 3will be the first of the updated titles to arrive on PlayStation 4, with the project getting a launch date of August 11, 2025, and it includes a download code for the soundtrack. TheYakuza 4andYakuza 5remasters will follow in the third entry’s footsteps by coming out in fall 2018 and spring 2019, respectively.

Taking all of this into consideration, those who missed out onYakuza 3when it released on PlayStation 3 back in 2009 are in for a treat when the action-adventure title makes the leap to the current generation on PS4. And once the remasters forYakuza 3through5have each been released, it will officially mean that the entire series will be available on PlayStation 4, asYakuza 0– that is, the prequel to the first title,Yakuza: Kiwami,  which is a remake ofYakuza 1– andYakuza 6: The Song of Lifeare all currently available on on the platform.
