In the fullFinal Fantasy XIV: Dawntrailtrailer, we got our first look at a female Hrothgar. While player’s will have the option of making their character a female Hrothgar, we’re also getting a new female Hrothgar main character: Wuk Lamat. Lamat features some superb voice acting, leading some to wonder: who voicesFFXIV’sfirst female Hrothgar, Wuk Lamat?
Who is the voice behind Wuk Lamat?
The voice behind Wuk Lamat is Sena Bryer, a voice actor, writer, and game developer.Bryer took to Twitterto confirm she did the voice of Wuk Lamat inFinal Fantasy XIV.

Fans wanting more Lamat—and therefore more Bryer voice acting—won’t have to wait long. It looks like players areintroduced to Wuk Lamat in patch 6.55forFinal Fantasy XIVwhich actually released today. Lamat has come to visit Old Sharlayan to seek counsel with the player ahead of the journey we will wake inFinal Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail. Players can also talk to Krile in the patch, who is making her debut as a Pictomancer, one of the playable Jobs in theDawntrailexpansion.
According to Bryer’s website, she has also done voice work for other games includingAether Gazer,Hearthstone,Helvetii,Need for Speed: UnboundandFriendsim2.
What about the player?
Even though the player can choose to be a female Hrothgar in the new expansion, the player’s character does not have voice lines inFinal Fantasy XIV. I’m sure we’ll meet other female Hrothgar in theDawntrailexpansion, but for now, Wuk Lamat is the only one we can talk to!
