April 2025 looks set to be great start to the new year in Pokémon GO. We have the shiny debut of Stakataka and Blacephalon, Dynamax Entei, the return of Cresselia and a host of exciting events to dive into.
So, what should you be looking out for in Pokémon GO in April 2025?

Mega Audino finally debuting in Pokémon GO Raid Day
Get ready for Mega Audino to finally come to Pokémon GO.

April 2025 brings several exciting Pokémon GO events. We’ve got thelong awaited debut of Mega Audino, a Hatch Day for Tyrogue and several exciting but unannounced events.
There is also a Max Battle Day for Gigantamax Snorlax, and a Max Battle Weekend for Dynamax Entei. Both are much anticipated additions to the game.
Finally, there is a Community Day to round the month out. Stay tuned for more details on what the featured Pokémon will be.

Month 2025 gives us moreMax Battles. These will run from all month long. The following Pokémon will be in Max Battles:

Pokémon GO Month 2025 Raids
Five Star Raids
April 2025 is a great month in Pokémon GO for Raids, mainly because we are getting two new shiny debuts. Blacephalon and Stakataka will be able to be shiny in Pokémon GO for the first time ever starting from April 9. Blacephalon is a pretty good Fire and Ghost-type Pokémon.
In addition, Tapu Lele will be in Pokémon GO with its powerful featured move, Natures Madness. This makes it a great time to do some of these Raids, as it will save you an Elite Charged TM.
Mega Raids
April 2025 Mega Raids in Pokémon GO bring back two excellent Mega Pokémon in the form of Mega Blaziken and Mega Sceptile. Both are great Raid Attackers and also have a double typing for that all important Candy and XL Candy boost.
Additionally, Mega Mawile is back in Pokémon GO, after debuting last year in a Raid Day. Sadly, Mega Audino will not appear in Raids outside of the Mega Raid Day in April.
Shadow Raids
Pokémon GO Shadow Raids in April 2025 will see Shadow Registeel back in Raids.
Other highlights this month
As always, there will be a range of Pokémon GO Spotlight Hours in April 2025. This includes a 2x Transfer Candy Hour on April 8, and a 2x Catch Stardust with Morelull on April 22. Morelull is a boosted stardust Pokémon, so this will be a lucrative hour to play Pokémon GO.
