Women in gaming are being celebrated at this year’s the*gameHERs Awards show. The live event starts at 4 p.m. PT on Nov. 29.

The*gameHERs Awards are back for a third year to celebrate women in gaming! The event is happening live on Nov. 29 at Esports Stadium Arlington. Read on for details.

All about the*gameHERs Awards

Kicking off at 4 p.m. PT on Nov. 29, thegameHERs will also be livestreamed over onTwitch. The event will be presented byStreamlabsand hosted by Verta Maloney and Melissah Yang. While Maloney is the Co-founder and CIO of thegameHERs, Yang is the Entertainment Director at Refinery29 andFantastic Frankey.

Nominations for women in the gaming industry will be featured during the live event. These folks will include both well-known and promising individuals who are dedicated to empowering others, building communities and creating content. Various categories at the awards show will shine a light on the multifaceted impact of women in the gaming industry.

“Thousands of people and organizations were nominated for their excellence across the categories of esports, content creation, streaming, industry favorites and collegiate,” according to the email announcement.

A total of 28 awards will be available among these five categories. A list of the 2022 finalists can be viewed on the*gameHERs’official website.

Ashley Vanicek, the Head of Operations at Streamlabs, said she’s thrilled for Streamlabs as the presenting sponser.

OpTic President and COO Geoff Moore shared similar thoughts. Moore said OpTic is proud to continue partnering with the*gameHERs to encourage and celebrate diversity in gaming.

The*gameHERs Awards have other supporting partners this year as well. They include Spontivly, Generation Esports, iFOLIO, RGB Custom PC, LogitechG and PrizePicks.

People from across the globe have participated in thegameHERs community space over the past year. In addition to offering people a safe space to build connections with each other, thegameHERs community has featured charity streams, collegiate esports tournaments, bootcamps for professional development and several live and virtual events.
