Summary
Twitchstreamer Michael Grzesiek, known to fans as Shroud, commented on the ban of Dr Disrespect with a very professional and clear message. Herschel “Guy” Beahm IV, aka Dr Disrespect, got permanently banned fromTwitchin June 2020. Back then, the streaming platform didn’t provide any reason for the ban, but recently the reason has come to light and many streamers are issuing statements regarding the controversial matter.
The legal dispute between Twitch and Dr Disrespect was settled in 2022, but neither party revealed why he was permanently banned. However, the reason came to light whenex-Twitch employee Cody Conners disclosed why Dr Disrespect got banned. Doc was allegedly sending explicit text messages to a minor and wanted to meet up with her at a TwitchCon event. This revelation spread through the internet like wildfire and other streamers quickly began to issue their statements regarding this issue.
On a recent Twitch stream, Shroud went vocal and let everyone know how he handled the situation. He said that the second Doc got banned, his logical conscience kicked in, and he stopped all communications with Dr Disrespect. Shroud believes that one doesn’t get randomly banned from Twitch, so he didn’t talk to Doc about it, didn’t message him or reply to any tweets at all. His goal was to not get associated with this controversy at all because he is, to quote him, “not an idiot.” He went on asking people to use their brains and stressed the fact that one doesn’t just get banned without a proper reason.
Dr Disrespect Keeps Losing Support
Other streamers likeNickmercs and TimTheTatman have also issued statementson the Dr Disrespect controversy. Both of them said that they felt sad and weird that a fellow streamer had sent inappropriate messages to a minor. Nickmercs and Tim both mentioned that they used to play a lot with Doc and this incident just broke their hearts. They both stressed the point that this behavior from Doc is not acceptable or excusable at all.
