On January 19,Pokemon GOplayers will get to enjoy a new type of in-game event named Limited-Time Research. ThisPokemon GOevent is incredibly similar to previous Community Day events in that it lasts for three hours. However, instead of an increased spawn of the select Pokemon, they will only be available by completing certain Field Research tasks.
It remains to be seen if Limited Time Research is a repeated event like Community Day, but the first event is set to feature Feebas. That means when players complete the aforementioned tasks, the reward encounter will be Feebas. Niantic has event gone so far to reveal thatshiny models of Feebas and Miloticare involved, though evolving a shiny Feebas into a shiny Milotic will take some time.
Because of this, players are likely wanting to complete as much research as possible during this time constraint. Now, thanks to renownPokemon GOleaker Chrales, we know what Field Research tasks are going to be tied to the event.
It appears as if Feebas Research will precede each task, meaning it’ll be easier to differentiate from either the January Field Research orthe Hoenn Celebration tasks.Luckily, most of these sound easy to complete, with two of thePokemon GOresearch tasks only requiring a certain amount of specific throws. It seems likely that players who get two of the throw tasks can stack them, meaning Great or Excellent throws will likely satisfy both tasks at the same time.
Earning a buddy candy will also be easy enough, asPokemon GOplayers will want to select a Pokemon like Ledyba that do not require as much walking to earn candy. The most difficult may be hatching an egg during the time restraint, but focusing on 2 KM eggs will help.
Taking all of this into consideration, it seems like thisFeebas Limited-Time Research eventis just the latest in a long line of events inPokemon GOfor 2019. January has already seen the likes of Totodile Community Day and the Hatchathon event, while the Hoenn Celebration is currently on-going. Hopefully, the developer can keep this momentum going for quite some time.
