Trainer battles,Pokemon GO’splayer versus player equivalent, has undergone a number of changes over the past couple of weeks. In an effort to better balance the mode, manyfast and charge attacks had their damage output tweakedincluding moves like razor leaf, smackdown, waterfall, and body slam. The developer also teases even more news about updates to Trainer Battles, though no concrete details as to what is changing or possibly whenPokemon GOplayers can expect to see these additional tweaks.
As previously leaked, the Swinub Community Day eventis set to begin on February 16, giving players the opportunity to earn one of the three newly tweaked stat boost moves: Ancient Power. During the community day hours from 2PM EST - 5pm EST, when players evolve a Piloswine into a Mamoswine, the creature then learns Ancient Power automatically. This is a powerful Rock-type move that comes with three charges and a low base power of 70. Plus, with the potential to raise the user’s attack and defense stats during a Trainer Battle, this move may now be in even more demand than it was previously.
