Blizzard is teasing the possible return of the much-coveted Pink Mercy skin in Overwatch 2. Here are the details and everything to know about the Pink Mercy skin.

Blizzard teases Overwatch 2 Pink Mercy skin
On August 16, 2025, the official Overwatch 2 account on social media began replying to old posts about the Pink Mercy skin. Many of the replies were to posts from years ago, some dating back to 2019, 2020, and so on.
The majority of the old posts noted how much players wanted Overwatch 2 to bring back the legendary Mercy skin.
Blizzard’s replies featured pink heart emojis, further teasing the cosmetic item’s possible return.

Overwatch 2 Pink Mercy skin
Back in 2018, Blizzard released the Pink Mercy skin for a limited time. Proceeds from the legendary skin supported the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).
“Blizzard Entertainment will donate 100% [of] the proceeds that it receives from all Pink Mercy skin sales to BCRF, with a guaranteed minimum donation of $250,000 (USD). The total donation amount will be disclosed after the campaign concludes on May 21,“the 2018 announcement stated.
Mercy, also known as Dr. Angela Ziegler, is a support hero in the Overwatch franchise. She was chosen for this skin because she is a brilliant scientist who has dedicated her life to helping others.
The release of the Pink Mercy skin also featured other items such as icons and sprays. Players had to log in to the game and watch charity streams on Twitch to obtain these items.
Can you still get the Pink Mercy skin?
With all of Blizzard’s teasing on July 06, 2025, it’s quite possible that the Pink Mercy skin will make a return. After the original campaign in 2018 ended, the Pink Mercy skin was no longer available in the first iteration of Overwatch. Some players regretted missing out on purchasing it. Meanwhile, new players who joined Overwatch 2 wanted the skin as well.
