MSC 2025 Knockout Stage match schedules, storylines

Match 1: Team Liquid PH vs Aurora Gaming Türkiye

In the MSC 2025 Knockouts matchup selection, Team Liquid PH chose Aurora Gaming as their opening opponent. The reason? They hope that ONIC PH could make it to the grand finals for an all-PH match. It’s a classic finale in most MLBB international events. “Actually, we would have wanted to play with RRQ, but we are happy [with] this pick,” said the Turkish team’s mid laner, Ahmet “Rosa” Batır.

For context, RRQ Hajirin “Rinz” Arafat talked about how Rosa is only good at using the hero Selena. Rosa responded to this by saying he wants to face RRQ and flex his hero pool. Unfortunately, they’ll have to survive Team Liquid PH first, and for RRQ to advance in the Semifinals before they can have their rematch.

Match 2: Mythic SEAL vs ONIC Indonesia

Mythic SEAL was the last one to pick and had no other choice but to face ONIC ID. Both representatives were men of few words. As for MYTH’s Elder Master Pyae “Kenn” Ko, he was expecting this to happen: “Yeah, I know since the beginning.”

Myanmar has long carried the weight of its past glory in the MLBB esports scene. Ever since Burmese Ghouls’s unforgettable run to the M2 World Championship Grand Finals, where they pushed the legendary Bren Esports to their limits, fans have been hoping for a repeat performance. But in the years that followed, the region struggled to recreate that magic. Yet now, with Mythic SEAL charging into the Knockout Stage of MSC 2025, there’s a glimmer of something different, something new.

Match 3: RRQ Hoshi vs SRG.OG

RRQ chose SRG.OG for their opening match in the MSC 2025 Knockouts. According to the Malaysian team’s Gold Laner John “Innocent” Banal, they already expected it. As for why RRQ chose them, the team’s Jungler, Arthur “Sutsujin” Sunarkho said, “I want a rematch. Because in M6, they sent us home, so I think I’m gonna try and send them home.”

Two rivals, looking to send each other home and stop them from reaching the MSC 2025 Semifinals. Who gets to receive their plane ticket? We’ll just have to find out.

Match 4: Team Spirit vs ONIC PH

Team Spirit didn’t shy away from the challenge. They picked ONIC PH as their opponent, and the reason behind it was surprisingly wholesome. According to TS’s Mathaios “Kid Bomba” Chatzilakos, the Filipino squad’s Grant “Kelra” Pillas told him not to lose in the upper bracket so they don’t have to go home before Knockouts.

ONIC PH’s journey to the MSC 2025 Knockout Stage wasn’t what fans expected. After a shocking upset loss to Aurora Gaming, the perennial contenders were forced into the lower bracket. But instead of crumbling, they rallied, taking down both Area77 and HomeBois. Now, with momentum and pride on the line, this match against Spirit is their shot at redemption.
