I’m writing this from an Amtrak Acela express — somewhere between New York City and Baltimore, — on my way home from today’s Midway 2007 Holiday Preview Event. Held in the NYC-basedShop Studios, this was Midway’s last big Holiday load to blow for the press, including journos from various outlets, includingMen’s Health,Source Magazine, and well … us.
While there were no wild surprises, this was a pretty great chance to get some last-minute hands-on time with some upcoming Midway titles we’ll be seeing this Holiday. I had some hands-on time with the latest build of the PlayStation 3 version ofUnreal Tournament III;Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Zombie Ninja Pro-Amfor the PlayStation 2; newBlacksite: Area 51levels on the Xbox 360;Ultimate Mortal Kombat DS; and more. Oh, I also had a few drinks and ate some pretty decent cheese.
