The Duchess of Sussex, 41, teased that she was considering a social media presence in a wide-ranginginterviewwithNew Yorkmagazine’sThe Cut.
“Do you want to know a secret?” she said. “I’m getting back…on Instagram.”
Although Meghan “would relay she was no longer sure she would actually return to Instagram” later in the interview, she appeared to be considering the move “especially now, withArchetypescoming out,” referring to herpodcast that debuted on Spotify last week.

The former actress did reflect onshutting down her social media profiles(including her Instagram page with 3 million followers) and lifestyle blogThe Tigafter getting engaged to Prince Harry.
“It was a big adjustment — a huge adjustment to go from that kind of autonomy to a different life,” she said.
Meghan and Prince Harry’s royal work and news appeared on the @KensingtonRoyal accounts, which also provided updates onPrince WilliamandKate Middleton— but it came with strict rules.

The couple later launched a separate page, @SussexRoyal, which stopped being updated following their decision to step back from their senior royal roles.

In 2020, Meghan said she was steering clear of social media.
“For my own self-preservation, I have not been on social media for a very long time,” she said at theFortuneMost Powerful Women Next Gen Summit. “I made a personal choice to not have any account, so I don’t know what’s out there, and in many ways that’s helpful for me.”
