LEGO has now issued its latest round of approvals for the LEGO Ideas program. Every entry in the program has successfully garnered over 10,000 votes from other LEGO Ideas users, but each requires a final approval by LEGO to actually be made. That’s the position the Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout Course LEGO set from user The Real Ashnflash found itself in, in recent months. And, to the certain disappointment of manyFall Guysfans, it didn’t work out. LEGO has rejected theFall Guysset.
Since LEGO does not provide any justification for its rejection, there’s no explanation for why theFall GuysLEGO setwasn’t approved. All that LEGO shared was an image showing the submission with a big red and white “X” on it. That could mean that LEGO disapproved of its design, that LEGO couldn’t reach an agreement with Mediatonic and Devolver Digital over licensing, or that the creator of the submission backed out. Hopefully, Mediatonic or Devolver Digital will offer a comment on the issue.

The Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout Course was a very impressive submission when it was first shared. It also had the benefit of being shared right asFall Guyswas peaking in popularity. Since September,Fall Guys' popularity has dropped significantly. Itpeaked at over 150,000 concurrent players on Steamand now averages just over 10,000. That could be why LEGO isn’t moving forward.
While LEGO won’t be moving forward with aFall GuysLEGO set, the submission still served a purpose and has value. It served to call attention to what could be done with LEGOs for kids who have played and enjoyedFall Guys. They were able to see this LEGO set and attempt to recreate it on their own, to build their very ownFall Guyscourses. It’s a shame that opportunity won’t get official LEGO support. Maybe LEGO will change its mind if Mediatonic releases aFall Guys 2down the line.
