When talking about how the marketing was handled for the Tenrai event, Jerry had this to say.

Halo Infinite

Our goal is always that, when you see something for earn in a season and it’s earnable in like an event or an event pass perspective, you may’t earn that gear in the shop, you can’t earn that gear in the Halo Infinite battle pass. It’s dedicated to your events.

Since the launch of the Halo Infinite multiplayer beta, there has been a colossal amount of feedback from the community. 343 Industries have continued to listen to the feedback and act accordingly. FromXP gains being improvedtonew playlists being added, the feedback from the community is actively being acted upon.

Following on from this, and addressing the feedback from the community, Jerry continued.

None of that (Tenrai armor) should be available in the store. We made that mistake. I’m sorry about that.

What we’ve done is we’ve pulled back a bunch of new gear so that when Tenrai comes back in January (2022) you’re going to see a lot of changes to the event structure that we have.

One, you’re going to see less swaps and XP, and you’re gonna see more actual content. Content being shoulders, coatings, gear pieces.

Two, we’re gonna replace those pieces that were mistakenly put in the store, as well as the event pass. We’re going to replace those completely so they’ll only be earnable within the Tenrai event itself.

Jerry then gave an in-depth breakdown of how the Tenrai event will be improved going forward, along with the general changes that events will experience in Halo Infinite.

Having such clarity and honesty from the company on how the feedback is being handled and implemented is vital for the longevity of any competitive eSports game. This is likely to be the new standard going forward for feedback on Halo Infinite.
