2020’s holiday season is here and with it arrives December’s major video game holiday sales. Epic Games is first to start things off, launching itsEpic Games StoreHoliday Sale featuring hundreds of games at up to 75% off. Not only is theEpic Games Storebringing back its traditional daily free games for its Holiday Sale, but it’s also offering something many thought would never be available again. Epic’s popular unlimited $10 coupons are being given out again, lasting through the sale’s end on January 7.

Epic Games Store users will already ready be familiar with how the unlimited $10 coupon works. For those who aren’t familiar, it’s very simple. Within the Epic Games Store, on itsHoliday Salepage, there’s a big button reading “Get Your Epic Coupon.” Once clicked, users can apply this $10 coupon to any eligible game that costs $14.99 or more. Further, after making any purchase, users will receive an additional $10 coupon. Users will continue to receive refreshed $10 coupons throughout the sale.

There are some limitations on how the coupon can be used, though they’re not unreasonable. Coupons can’t be used on pre-purchases for games that have opened them up. They also can’t be used on DLC, likeBorderlands 3’s season pass, nor on in-game currency, likeFortnite’s V-Bucks. They’re only available for full games that are currently available to purchase and play.

One final detail is that, unlike previous coupons, the Epic Games Store Holiday Sale $10 coupons will not last beyond the sales event. Coupons officially expire when the holiday sale ends on January 7. That’s still plenty of time to use the coupons, but it means they can’t be held onto for releases coming in early 2021. Epic users will just have to make use of them in tandem with the current holiday sale discounts. Either that, or enjoy thefree 15 days of gamesand save some money for next year.
