Oddventureis a turn-based RPG in the same vain asMother 3andUndertale, holding a quirky and seemingly light-hearted yet mysterious tone. The game was originally slated to release solely on PC, but has now been confirmed for a Nintendo Switch thanks to publisher Pineapple Works. While there is no set release date at the moment, the game is planned for release in Q3 2022.
A demo can be downloaded Steam and itch.io, while fans can followOddventure’s Kickstarter to learn more about the development. The RPG will follow Charlie, a socially awkward teenage girl, who has set out on a search for her younger brother Bonzo. Along the way, players will encounter strange enemies and allies as they travel through the fairy tale-inspired land of Luxia. The artstyle looks to take heavy inspiration fromEarthboundandMother 3, even bearing similar resemblance in its battle screens and enemies. Some sections of the game also seem to call back to the black-and-white motif seen inparts ofUndertale.
