A space game that looks steller

Space. I love space games, and we can always use more of them.Drifter: A Space Trading Gamelooks like it’s going to fill that little place in my heart for games likeElite.Drifteris a random- and procedurally-generated open sandbox that hopes to give players the freedom to do anything they choose. The game had a successfulKickstarterlast year, so we can expect to see it come out later this year on PC, Mac, Linux, and iOS.

The art style, while simple, is stylish and captivates me. I would love to just stare at that screen for hours while I amass a fortune in space bucks. If the graphics aren’t enough to get you hooked, the soundtrack is byDanny Baranowsky, the dude behind music forSuper Meat BoyandThe Binding of Isaac. It’s a trance-inducing electronic symphony that perfectly matches the mood of flying around in space.
