The top 100 secure a spot in the DreamHack Fortnite Finals
Hundreds of Fortnite players packed the convention center in Elmia, Jönköping, Sweden this weekend for the DreamHack Summer 2022 festival. For the last two years, DreamHack has remained a stable companion to the scene, having hosted many DreamHack Fortnite tournaments throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
After two long years without offline events, DreamHack Summer represented a monumental moment. The competitionfeatures a $200,000 prize poolsplit between a traditional Battle Royale event and Fortnite’s new Zero Build mode. As a result, following a series of preliminary qualifiers, the top 100 players in both competitions would secure a spot in the DreamHack Fortnite Finals.
Battle Royale Heat 1 results
More than 500 players entered the intense competition in heat one. As a result, each match featured some truly outstanding players looking to prove themselves in a LAN setting. After three hours and a maximum of ten games, the first 30 players secured a spot in the DreamHack Fortnite Finals in Sweden.
Astralis player Th0masHD looked untouchable across only eight matches. The Danish standout became the only player to surpass 400 points, earning 434 overall.
Next, Latvian playerMerstachof Centric Gaming delivered a 398-point performance in eight matches. Finally, we hadMappiof TT9 Esports round out the top three in his home country of Sweden with 374 points.

Battle Royale Heat 2 results
With 30 of the DreamHack Fortnite tournament’s top players moving on, Heat 2 offered the field another opportunity. Subsequently, more of Europe’s best and some competitors from other regions secured a top-30 finish.
First place went to Diocese — a lesser-known Swedish player who compiled 392 points and two Victory Royales. Secondly, the Become Legends player and FNCS ChampionSettyof Poland took the runner-up position on the heels of 389 points.
Another Become Legends representative —Nebsof England — finished ten matches with 378 points. These three players have locked themselves into a DreamHack Fortnite Finals position alongside 27 others.

Battle Royale Heat 3 results
The final Heat for the DreamHack Fortnite Battle Royale qualifiers offered 40 spots instead of 30 from the previous two Heats. This session was the last chance for all who failed to secure a spot. Ultimately, the final round saw some exceptional talents push through to the DreamHack Fortnite Finals.
Standout German player Rezon of Guild Esports finally arrived in Heat 3 after missing out in Heats 1 and 2. He qualified with 29 eliminations and one Victory Royale, which amounted to 353 points.
Second, another German player —Juuof Wave Esports — claimed the runner-up position. He played seven matches with one Victory Royale and 348 points.
Finally, a North American player namedKnzoof the NA West region slid into the top three with 342 points. He’ll be one of only a few North Americans to reach the DreamHack Fortnite Finals in Sweden.

It’s important not to understate the caliber of players involved in the DreamHack Fortnite Finals at the Summer competition. Top players and Fortnite Champions past and present journeyed through Heats to secure a spot to compete for $100,000.
The Finals began with Vert — a North American player representing Team 33 — earning a Victory Royale with five eliminations. From there, the storyline shifted to two Polish players and duo partners — Kami and Setty of Become Legends — who dueled to close out game two as Kami delivered the final shot.

Kami took command of the leaderboard. However, some notable names, including Th0masHD, Vadeal, Veno and three-time DreamHack Champion MrSavage, weren’t too far behind. Next, games three, four and five went to NA West player CZR, Th0masHD and Tiltern.
Kami, Setty and the French player Clement remained steady thanks to their patient gameplay in the placement-heavy DreamHack format. It came down to the last game, wherein the Polish teammates survived late into the match. Ultimately, Setty outlasted Kami in the game, and the two players ended with identical points. However, Setty’s lone Victory Royale broke the tie at 307 points. He claimed the DreamHack Summer title in style and vowed to win the next Fortnite Champion Series event.

DreamHack Fortnite Zero Build Heat 1 results
Th0masHD appeared yet again in the DreamHack Fortnite tournament in Sweden. After dominating Heat 1 in Battle Royale, he did the same in Zero Build mode with 447 points.
Ultimately, the Danish phenom delivered in the unfamiliar territory despite not having the luxury of Fortnite’s building mechanic. It seems that having top-notch aim and 49 eliminations worked well for Th0masHD.
Fellow Danish playerRefsgaardalso found a rhythm in Zero Build mode, managing 410 points, two Victory Royales and 30 eliminations. He joins Th0masHD in the Finals after a relatively stress-free effort.
Become Legends representativeKamiof Poland rounded out the top three in Zero Build with 397 points.

Zero Build Heat 2 results
The second DreamHack Fortnite Heat for Zero Build concluded early Sunday morning for those stateside. Once again, the top 25 featured some of the top professional Fortnite Battle Royale.
First was vic0 of Wave Esports after earning 376 points over nine matches. Like many other attendees, vic0 has qualified for both DreamHack Fortnite Finals.
Secondly, we had a German player namedsoonluckyof mYinsanity claiming a seat in the Finals. He finished with 373 points and an impressive three Victory Royales.
Finally,Hijoeof LootBoy Esports claimed the bronze position in Heat 2. The German competitor compiled 372 points across nine matches.
These three players and the rest below will compete for a share of $100,000 on Monday.
Zero Build Heat 3 results
Twenty-five more players qualified for the Zero Build DreamHack Fortnite Finals early on Saturday. Only 50 spots remained at this stage, and 321 players had their sights set. Ultimately, German player Fray of LootBoy Esports took the top spot, earning 415 points.
The Zero Build standout and North American playerPunisherof Complexity Gaming matched Fray’s 315 points but lost the tie-breaker. Still, he’ll have all the strategies he needs for the Finals.
Sweden’s ownyungbobgrabbed himself the third position out of Heat 3. He finished the session with 394 points and two Victory Royales.

Zero Build Heat 4 results
Norwegian player Hassrepp had quite the experience at DreamHack. He received an account ban in Fortnite for teaming during Heat 1 of the Zero Build competition. Then, he worked out the issue with Epic Games and won Heat 4 after missing Heats 2 and 3. Hassrepp did so with 425 points and a Victory Royale.
Second, the Denmark-nativeSwagof Copenhagen Flames earned 404 points across ten matches. Like Hassrepp, Swag managed a Victory Royale and 22 eliminations.
NA West playerTavernof Team 33 rounded out the top three in this final Heat. He finished nine games with 394 points.

DreamHack Fortnite Zero Build Finals
Fortnite Zero Build had the opportunity to close out an exciting weekend at DreamHack Summer. One hundred of the best players in attendance queued into six matches across several hours, hoping to secure a piece of $100,000. Above all, a pair of German players populated the leaderboard.
Firstly, Hijoe of LootBoy Esports claimed the top spot narrowly over Wave Esports player Vadeal. It came down to the final match, where Hijoe fell early and opened the door for Vadeal. Unfortunately for Vadeal, he failed to earn just six more points. Hijoe’s strategy saw him reach 230 placement points against just 45 elimination points.
Vadeal, who finished fourth in yesterday’s Battle Royale tournament, relied more on eliminations. He managed 18 and completed the competition with 270 points, landing him in second place.
Finally,Th0masHDrounded out the top three with 254 points. The standout player sadly missed the first game, leaving him less room for error. Still, he compiled 20 eliminations—the most of any player in the DreamHack Fortnite Zero Build Finals.
