PSG Quest coach Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin has officially exited the squad after a series of disappointing results. While most coaches tend to leave quietly, the veteran player took to social media to express his frustration with the team. The long string of insults ended in a backhanded goodbye to the players. The incident could mean the end of one of Dota 2’s biggest flash-in-the-pan rosters.
Daxak posted the messages throughhis Telegramon Jan. 18. He starts by ambiguously announcing his leave, saying “I quit/I was kicked,” according to digital translation. Daxak then shares his strongly negative opinions of the players.
“In fact, I shouldn’t have even gone to the boot camp because people didn’t give a fk and didn’t work… they can fk everyone up and suck everyone’s dk — that’s the price of fked up training,” said Daxak.
The rant is likely spurred by a series of poor results for PSG Quest. The team failed to qualify for ESL One Kuala Lumpur, BetBoom Dacha Dubai, and DreamLeague Season 22, losing to Falcons in the finals each time. The expectations for the team soared after the squad partnered with PSG before The International in October 2023. However, the team earned last place tied with beastcoast, Thunder Awaken, and Team SMG.

In 2023, PSG Quest was one of the most hyped rising teams in Dota 2. Despite moderate star power, the squad earned a promotion to the DPC Upper Division and placed third in the circuit’s final tour. The squad’s year peaked at the Bali Major with a fourth-place finish thanks to an excellent stand-in performance by Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf, who played with the team for four events.
The effects of that decision may still impact the team today. The ATF-powered Falcons roster is undeniably Quest’s obstacle to qualifying for major events. The temporary success may have led to difficult discussions within the team. Daxak’s statement highlights two unnamed players being particularly hostile, one of which could be new offlaner Abdimalik “Malik” Sailau. Either way, Daxak’s statement implies that PSG Quest’s situation will likely get worse before it gets better.
