Junior is likely to stand-in for Complexity at the pinnacle event in June.

That wasn’t all for Complexity, with the high-flying North American-based roster picking up Eric “adreN” Hoag as coach for the foreseeable future, but all eyes will be on whether hallzerk will compete for Complexity at the Austin Major in June.

Visa issues may claim first victim as hallzerk in doubt of attending Austin

Team manager Graham “messioso” Pitt broke the news via aComplexity Twitch stream on May 7. “We are most likely going to have to use a substitute player for the major; this is relating to hallzerk’s P1 visa which is still in processing,” messiososaid on the stream.

He added that additional paperwork was needed to complete the “accepted” visa application, but that there was “no way of expediting” the process. With less than a month until the major begins, it’s evident hallzerk may not be able to claim the visa in time.

Complexity is the first team to encounter visa issues for the Austin Major, but it is understood there may be more squads affected before the Texan tournament begins. Esports teams attending U.S. events have been impacted by the complex visa process, with many players across several titles such asApex LegendsandDota 2unable to secure permission to enter the country and attend the tournament.

It’s an unfortunate turn of events for Complexity who have struck a vein of form this past few months. Entering 2025 without Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski, many expected the NA squad to faulter; but after a correction period in February and March, CoL rebounded with a fourth-placed finish atPGL Bucharest.

Junior is on standby with the American previously representing Nouns, and once held a stint with Complexity back in 2022. Should he need to step in, he’ll link back up with then-teammates John “JT” Theodosiou andMichael “Grim” Wince.

Legendary CS:GO player and adreN joins Complexity in place of Tiaan “T.c” Coertzen whodeparted the squad in March. AdreN moved into a coaching role with Liquid during their epic 2019 run; more recently, he returned as coach, then as general manager for Nouns.

Complexity is not attendingPGL AstanaorIEM Dallas, meaning their next event is the major itself. While there’s still time for the visa application to be stamped, the team at least has a sixth ready to go should there be any more complications.
