Cold Comfort is one of the best rocket launchers in Destiny 2 — and it returns for Rite of the Nine.
I was lucky enough to land a god roll Cold Comfort from my first Ghosts of the Deep run when the dungeon launched, but Destiny 2 guardians who couldn’t get their hands on a great Cold Comfort will be given the opportunity to via Rite of the Nine.

Say hello to your new PvE rocket launcher. For those unwilling to runVault of Glassfor a goodHezen Vengeance, Cold Comfort is here to fill those gaps!
Envious Arsenalpairs perfectly withBait and Switch. Using your other weapons grants a huge damage buff and reloads the rocket, so fire, switch, use your other weapons, then fire again to keep Cold Comfort reloaded and boosted.
Be sure to get a finisher or revive before firing as this activates the Origin PerkRestoration Ritual. This grants an emergency auto-reload when fired, so you’ll be able to shoot back-to-back rockets.
ReconstructionandExplosive Lightare also solid perks if you’d prefer the rocket to automatically reload itself.

Between the lessened ammo drops in PvP and a lack of decent roles, wedo not suggestCold Comfort for the Crucible. If you must insist,Tracking Moduleis the go-to for lock-on and chase rockets. From there, boost the weapon’s blast radius where you can so you can guarantee the kill.
Any perk in column two works apart fromBipod, which reduces damage and blast radius too much. Most perks require a second shot to benefit or an Orb of Power to pick up, which doesn’t happen often enough in PvP.
How to get Cold Comfort in Destiny 2 Rite of the Nine
Cold Comfort is available in theRite of the Nineactivity, specifically by completing the revampedGhosts of the Deepdungeon. You canattuneto Cold Comfort at The Emissary, which increases the likelihood of receiving Cold Comfort after completing a Rite of the Nine run.
This weapon comes inAdept(bonus perks) andHolofoil(unique animated shader) versions by completing higher difficulty runs of Ghosts of the Deep. You can’t craft Cold Comfort; enhance the weapon for access to upgraded perks.
