Serena Williams is ready to inspire a new wave of esports athletes at Cloud9 with the “Champions Mindset” course.
Tennis Legend and entrepreneur, Serena Williams, is teaming up with North American Esports organization, Cloud9 to launch the“Champions Mindset”Course for aspiring coaches.
The“Champions Mindset”course will feature Serena Williams describing her journey as an athlete. In the four-hour course, the tennis legend will go into detail about mindset and practice shifts she experienced that helped take her career to another level.
“Champions Mindset”is meant to be a bridge for highschool after-school EsportsPrograms to gain knowledge from industry greats. In this case, it will be a tennis legend as Cloud9 and Serena Williams partner up.

Cloud9 is a leader in talent development in esports, having developed several North American players who are now LCS superstars. As a leader in the esports industry, their partnership with Serena Williams is sure to make the “Champions Mindset” course a can’t miss event.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Serena Williams, truly one of the greatest tennis champions of all time, to teach our coaches the best way to inspire and train aspiring young athletes,” said Samir Bolar, Executive Director at Training Grounds. “As we transition our Training Grounds program into schools, Serena’s ‘Champion’s Mindset’ course will be an essential coaching tool in developing young gamers that are goal-oriented, healthy, and resilient.”
The“Champion’s Mindset”course will be in collaboration with the Positive Coaching Alliance, an organization dedicated to creating a positive youth culture.

Cloud9 will be offering the“Champion’s Mindset”course free on their website for specific leaders in youth development. These include school coaches, parents, and educators as part of Cloud9 and Serena Williams’ campaign to inspire the next generation of athletes.
“Hard work, practice, and dedication are so important when you’re working to become the best and make your dreams come true, whether that be in sport or something different,” said Williams. “As an advisor on Cloud9, I am excited to team up on their Training Grounds program to help nurture these skills in students everywhere.”
The course will take place onTuesday, November 9thin Santa Monica, California at Cloud9 HQ where Serena Williams will host a four-hour class from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Established in 2013, Cloud9 has grown to become one of the most recognizable esports organizations in the world. Cloud9 fields close to a dozen professional teams in as many games, includingHalo,League of Legends,Overwatch, andWorld of Warcraft.
Now, they are looking to continue the development of The Training Grounds, Cloud9’s premier esports player development program. Looking to lend their knowledge and expertise to youth interested in esports, Cloud9 is looking to be that gateway for future stars.
