Call of Duty: Warzone’s playlist update earlier this week added new modes, but it didn’t include any fixes for some of the game’s lingering problems. Infinity Ward has since released a new update forCall of Duty: Warzoneas well as the standardModern Warfaremultiplayer that fixes a variety of issues plaguing the games, as well as nerfs the controversial JAK-12 shotgun.
The newCall of Duty: Warzoneupdate fixes an issue with Bunker 3, a Riot Shield glitch, and an exploit in Zombie Royale. Infinity Ward does not specify which exploit it fixed in Zombie Royale with the latest update, but it’s possibly referring to thespotter scope glitchthat essentially gave players a built-in wallhack. Durable Gas Masks have also been removed fromWarzone, though it’s unclear why that is.

As far as theJAK-12 shotgunnerfs go, Infinity Ward has removed the movement and ADS speed for the JAK-12 drum mags. It has also reduced the rate of fire for the JAK-12 when equipped with FRAG-12 ammo. These two changes should go a long way in reigning the JAK-12 shotgun in a bit, and will hopefully make it less overpowered. However, fans will have to try the newly-balanced shotgun out for themselves to be sure.
Meanwhile, standardCall of Duty: Modern Warfaremultiplayer has also been tweaked with the new update.Modern Warfarepumpkin headsare back in the game, presumably for the duration of the Halloween event. While some fans may be excited at the return of pumpkin heads, others will be disappointed to learn that Snipers Only Team Deathmatch has been removed, though its removal is only temporary. Infinity Ward is fixing a bug in the mode, and has replaced it with 3v3 Gunfight - Snipers Only in the meantime.
WithCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s release dateright around the corner, it’s likely thatModern Warfareupdates are going to slow down. However,Warzonefans can look forward to continued support for the battle royale for some time to come, as it will start sharing a Battle Pass withBlack Ops Cold War.
