Look, say what you will about the direction of theCall of Dutyfranchise and YouTube like-wars and what have you, but I have to say I am genuinely interested inCall of Duty: Infinite Warfareas of the latest trailer.
I guess I’m just a sucker for this particular brand of sci-fi, but the bits in zero-G with space fighters and big-ass warships and spacewalk boarding sequences feels right up my alley, without the quasi-mystical baggage that tends to get attached to the likes ofHaloand the rest. I mean, just the sequence on the bridge of a spaceship that mimicked the CIC of an aircraft carrier was enough to get me reasonably interested in a way I didn’t forAdvanced WarfareorBlack Ops III.
