Salvage was first introduced withCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warin 2020. After that, it was seen as an Uncommon item only inCall of Duty: Vanguardand is set to make a complete return withBlack Ops 6in October 2024.

What is Salvage in Black Ops 6 Zombies and how does it work?
InBlack Ops 6Zombies, Salvage is a type of currency that drops as Ground Loot after slaying zombies. Like some previousCall of Dutygames, they appear as “small piles of junk with a green outline.”
It’s the second in-game currency after Essence, and hasthreeuses:

you may craft all sorts of Equipment using Salvage. This includes Tactical, Lethal, and Support equipment. You will pick up this item automatically while walking or running over them.
When it comes to upgrading weapon rarity, you get four tiers – Uncommon (Green), Rare (Blue), Epic (Purple), and Legendary (Orange). The higher tier you opt for, the more the Salvage you’ll need to spend. So, collect as much as you may (kill as many zombies as possible).

Activision has confirmed that, unlikeBlack Ops Cold War, you only need to manage a single type of Salvage. The title from 2020 featured two types of Salvage – Normal and High-Grade.
