The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt scoops top award

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunthas been crowned Game of the Year at this year’s GDC Awards.

The RPG also received recognition with a Best Technology Award.

It wasn’t the biggest winner of the ceremony, however; Sam Barlow’sHer Storytoke home three awards – Best Handheld/Mobile, Best Narrative, and Innovation Award.

Ori and the Blind Forestwas awarded Best Visual Art and Best Debut for developer Moon Studios. Other winners includeRocket League(Best Design), andCrypt of the NecroDancer(Best Audio). Bethesda’s Todd Howard was recognised with a Lifetime Achievement award, and Minecraft creator Markus “Notch” Persson honoured with a Pioneer Award.
