As it goes every year, Valve’s prestigious The International (TI1) tournament is set to bring together passionate cosplayers for TI12 Cosplay Contest. The event which finally returns to Seattle after five years will also offer more than $20,000 in prize money for the Cosplay Contest. More info below!

When is the TI12 Cosplay Contest?
The Cosplay Contest will run during TI12 Main Event in Seattle, Washington from October 26 to 29. PGL divides the contest into two phases - the Judging Event and the Winner Presentation.
The Judging Event will take place on October 26 and it might also extend to the next two days depending on the number of contestants.

All winners must attend the Winner Representation rehearsal on October 28 and the Winner Representation itself on October 29.
TI12 Cosplay Contest prizes and categories
This year sees a bigger prize pool in the Cosplay Contest when compared to the previous year which held $15,000 USD in prize money. For TI12 Cosplay Contest, PGL x SteelSeries will distribute a total of $20,000 USD to winners.
The $20,000 will go to ten total winners with six being “runner-ups” and four being “Skill Winners”. On top of that, the ten winners will also have a chance to win additional prizes for unique categories which are:

Where to register?
Registration for the TI12 Cosplay Contest will open on September 15 at 5:00 PM CEST and closes on October 1. Go to PGL’s pagehereto register.
Do I need a TI ticket to compete in the Cosplay Contest?
Contestants do not need a TI ticket to attend the Cosplay Contest. PGL states that “contestants without The International entrance tickets will be granted admission for the two Contest events.”
