It was 10 year ago today that R&B singer Aaliyah was killed in a planing machine clank . What made her death so sad is that she and manufacturer Timbaland were only scratching the surface of music that was uncanny , futurist , and most importantly , fantastic .

Aaliyah had just end up filming the video for “ Rock The Boat ” when her plane crashed in the Bahamas . Who make love what would have happened if she was still alive to keep making euphony , but judging from birdsong like “ Back and Forth , ” “ One In A Million , ” “ We Need a result ” and “ Are You That Somebody , ” not to mention the interminable stream of posthumoustribute mixesthat followed , she in all likelihood would have a long , long life history .
